Im making a harm reduction AI

← Back to Blog

Do you or someone you know use drugs or pursue DIY HRT? I'm building something to help make that safer.

I'm building an AI chatbot designed to inform and guide people toward safer practices — no judgment, no lectures, just honest answers from reliable sources.

I've seen firsthand what happens when people don't have access to good information — and I want to help change that. Bad information or no information at all can cause real harm. Witch Doctor is my attempt to do something about it.

Witch Doctor is a big project with five distinct versions planned before it branches off into a couple of related projects I'll be working on down the line.

v1 launches with three core topics — drugs & interactions, DIY HRT, and overdose response. From there v2 through v5 each add a new topic to the knowledge base, steadily building it out into a comprehensive harm reduction resource.

After v5 the plan is a website interface, then a dedicated fine tuned model called SHAMAN, and eventually Field Medic — an open source offline cyberdeck built to bring harm reduction directly into communities that need it most.

If you know how to code I'd love your help — the repo is right here. And even if you don't there's still plenty you can do, check out the contributing guide to see where you can jump in.

Everything you need to know about the project, how to contribute, and what's coming is all in the repo. When v1 is live I'll post about it here with links to the Discord bot and OpenWebUI.

Thanks for reading. If you have questions or want to get in touch, open an issue on GitHub and I'll get back to you.
